Cycle Route features
It still exists, the other Majorca.: Picturesque, tranquil bays with turquoise-blue water and fine, white sand. A festival of colours, shapes, and the scents of flowering meadows among countless almond trees. Monasteries and pilgrimage churches; Castles, mysterious flowstone caves, and romantic country houses in the sun – jewels in the unspoiled hinterland far away from the tourist crowds.

The plains and gently rolling hills of in the interior of the island and its east coast offer a great climate and are ideal for biking tours. On your way, you will cycle past small sandy bays and cliffs that are overgrown by pine trees as well as past wind mills, olive groves, and almond trees.

The different stages with about 50 kilometres can be cycled easily by anyone. Only a few slight climbs have to be mastered. Almost all of the ways are asphalted. The individual stages can be shortened or extended.

Day-by-Day Cycling Holiday Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Playa de Palma

The first walk along the sandy beach of Palma invites you to have a nice holiday feeling!

Day 2: Trip to Colònia Sant Jordi approx. 55 km

The day will start with a personal tour information meeting and bike fitting. Then, after a short bus transfer, you will get to Colònia with its sandy beaches and crystal clear water.

You will ride your bike along the saline fields of Llevant with the salt lakes. Typical windmills line the path to Capocorp Vell, the Realm of the Cyclops (remnants of the native inhabitant dwellings). From there, you will soon get back to your hotel.

Day 3: Trip to the Centre of the Island to Sineu approx. 55 km

In the morning, the bus will take you to Sineu. The small city is the geographical centre of the island and is well known for its golden lion proudly overlooking the city from the stairs of the parish church.

Afterwards, you will cycle downhill on beautiful paths, through untouched nature and little villages, and back to the hotel.

Day 4: Trip to Llucmajor and to the Holy Mountain of Randa approx. 70/95 km

First, you will pedal to Cap Blanc where you will have a wonderful view of the sea. From there, you will continue your trip on beautiful bike paths towards the island centre.

In Llucmajor, you can take a rest in the Cafe Colon founded in 1928. In Majorca, the town is well-known for its shoe production, and it is also the place where the Majorcan monarchy officially was ended.

Sporty cyclists might want to cycle up the holy mountain Randa. However, these 25these 25 extra kilometres require a bit of fitness. Afterwards, you will soon be back at your hotel.

Day 5: Trip to Inca approx. 50 km

In the morning, you will take the bus to Inca, the city of leather goods production. We recommend visiting the numerous shops. Today’s bike journey will be full of contrasts.

First, the route will lead through the rural hinterland and sleepy villages. Once you have reached the coast, however, the island awakens and the route will lead you partly along the Playa and back to your hotel.

Day 6: Day off and Palma Aquarium

Today, there is no cycle tour planed. So you have enough time to enjoy the Playa with its miles long and miles of sandy beach. An indulgence is the home made cake at “Helga and Udo” in Café-Bar Alt-Köln (incl.)in one of the cafes (included).

After this refreshment you go into the impressive Palma Aquarium (incl.). Here you can admire more than 8000 living organisms of fFlora and Ffauna in 55 aquariaums with a total of 5 million litres of salt water. in total.

Day 7: Trip to the Capital Palma incl. city tour approx. 25 km

You will ride your bike on the beautiful bike path along the coast, to the capital of the island. There, you will get the possibility to participate in a guided walking tour through the very interesting old town. On your way back to the hotel, you will again cycle along the coast.
