Day-by-Day Cycling Holiday Itinerary

Day 1: Individual arrival to Magdeburg

Welcome briefing and distribution of rental bikes.
We recommend strolling through the beautiful city.

Day 2: Magdeburg – Burg (30km)

You cycle through small and picturesque villages before you reach Burg.

If you book the tour in 8 days to Hamburg or 10 days to Cuxhaven you cycle directly to Tangermünde (approx. 70 km)

Day 3: Burg – Tangermünde (40km)

Do a sightseeing tour through the roman church near Jerichow on the way to Tangermünde. The city has an old town townscape. The medieval castle was built 800 years ago.

Day 4: Tangermünde – Havelberg (50km)

The nature park “Alte Elbe” offers habitat for numerous and seldom species of birds and allows a relaxed start in your bike day. The route leads you along palace Storkau to Havelberg, the island and dome city. This small and unimpressive city is located on the meeting of river Havel and river Elbe. Worth visiting is the dome in renaissance and baroque style.

Day 5: Havelberg – Gartow am See/ Surroundings (40-60km)

This tour leads you via Wittenberg to Schnackenburg (well-known museum). Your overnight stay is in the Gatow am See area or surroundings.

Day 6: Gartow am See/ Surroundings – Hitzacker(60-80km)

You still follow the river Elbe until you reach Hitzacker with picturesque old city and typical half-timbered houses.

Day 7: Hitzacker – Lauenburg (55km)

Today’s tour course to Lauenburg is slightly hilly. Characteristic for this city is the silhouette, framed by the high banks of river Elbe. There are a lot of places of interest awaiting you: palace and tower, Maria-Magdalena church and emperor garden.

Day 8: Lauenburg – Hamburg (55km)

You cycle along river Elbe and via Geesthacht to harbour city Hamburg. Numerous memorials, art, culture and a special atmosphere invites you! For detailed information please see

Depart after breakfast.

We also have a selection of various size 24-speed freewheel men’s and unisex bicycles with derailleur gears and 28” wheels.

They are top-quality brand bicycles made by Kettler and Kalkoff.

Accessories with each bike includes a bicycle pannier bag with a 10L capacity, repair kit, lock, key, and air pump.
