Day-by-Day Cycling Holiday Itinerary

1st day: Individual arrival in Freiburg

Freiburg is said to be Germany‘s warmest city. Its „Bächle“, small runnels that flow through the city center, give it a very special flair.

2nd day: Freiburg – Bonndorf, approx. 40 km + train ride

You cycle to the small town of Kirchzarten and take the train from there to Titisee (not included). That way you can avoid almost all inclines on this tour. Through typical Black Forest landscapes to Bonndorf.

3rd day: Bonndorf – Waldshut-Tiengen, approx. 50 km

Up on the plateau you cycle on to the Wutachtal valley and further to Waldshut-Tiengen which is located 500 m lower at the Rhine.

4th day: Waldshut-Tiengen – Rheinfelden – Basel, approx. 50 km + train ride

Via Laufenburg you reach Bad Säckingen where you find the longest covered wooden bridge. Along the Rhine to
Rheinfelden, from where you take the train to Basel.

5th day: Basel – Badenweiler/Müllheim, approx. 50 km

You will see the „Isteiner Klotz“, a rock that used to be located right at the Rhine, from far away. Along the Black Forest through small spa towns to Müllheim and Badenweiler.

6th day: Badenweiler – Freiburg, approx. 40 km

Through the wine region of the „Markgräflerland“ – The Black Forest to the right and the Vosges to the left. Freiburg is said to be Germany‘s warmest city and has a very special flair.
