Easy – all routes are predominantly plain or run in an just a little bit uneven terrain. You cycle mostly on asphalted or paved agricultural roads or on cycle ways. The routes are optimally suitable for beginners and cycle groups too.

Day-by-Day Cycling Holiday Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Berlin

Individual arrival in Berlin till the late afternoon. You get your travel briefing and your bikes (if booked). Afterwards you have time to stroll through the capital.

Day 2: Berlin – Potsdam

At first you cycle through the government district, pass the Brandenburg Gate and the Potsdam Square. You follow the course of the old military road (B1). At the botanic garden a stopover is worthwhile, before you reach your destination for the day: Potsdam.

Day 3: Potsdam – Brandenburg at the Havel

Impressed by the sights of Potsdam you cycle at first alongside the Havel to Werder with its beautiful, on an island located old town. Fruit-growing and lakes shape the landscape till you reach your destination of today: Brandenburg at the Havel.

Day 4: Brandenburg at the Havel – Nauen/surrounding

You leave the cathedral city Brandenburg in direction to the north and cycle alongside the extensive Lake Beetz. You drive along the Lake Beetz, to the neo-baroque castle Ribbeck. Continue to Groß Behnitz/ Nauen to your hotel “Landgut Borsig”.

Day 5: Nauen/surrounding- Oranienburg

You leave the charming old town Nauen. On your tour of today you cycle along the havel channels to Oranienburg. You reach it in the early afternoon, so that you have enough time to explore the town. You should absolutely visit the oldest baroque castle of the Mark of Brandenburg and the museum concentration camp Sachsenhausen.

Day 6: Oranienburg – Berlin

You cycle via the Sachsenhausen Memorial and tue former residential area of East German government. In Wandlitz you reach the bike path Berlin-Usedom, which leads you to tue federal capital Berlin.

Day 7: Berlin free time

Enjoy the day in Berlin.

Day 8: Return journey or extra nights in Berlin

After breakfast this exciting bike tour along the tracks of young German history finds its end.

Quality, comfortable and sturdy bikes

We understand that well made bikes are essential for an enjoyable cycling holiday. All bikes are based on technology from leading Austrian bike manufacturer ‘KTM’ and serviced by an expert mechanic.

The bikes use good quality components to give you confidence in the bike on your holiday and comfortable riding on varied cycle paths and roads.

About the bikes

You will be given an easily identifiable, solid and sturdy aluminum trekking bike with V-brakes, solid wheels, almost puncture resistant tyres. Each bike has been built through continuous development and feedback from customers.

Each bike is also fitted with a dynamo lighting system for ease, handlebar bag, pannier, mudguards and comfortable saddle made by Selle Royal.

You can also bring your own saddle and adapter with you (diameter of seat post from 27, 2 to 31, 4 mm). We help you with the fitting of saddles and SPD shoes should you require assistance.

Gear systems

7-gear-bikes are equipped with Shimano NEXUS gear hub. Gears can be changed anytime even whilst stationary.

21-gear-bikes are equipped with Shimano ALIVIO derailleur. The ALIVIO system is robust and easy to use.

Frame sizes

The following frame sizes are available on tours with the bikes shown in the picture:

Unisex frame 21-gears with free wheel. Sizes: 56 / 51 / 46 / 43 cm
Unisex 7-gears-bikes with back pedal brake. Sizes: 56 / 51 / 46 cm

Men’s speed bikes 21-gears with freewheel and crossbar. Sizes: 64 / 60 / 56 “sloping crossbar” cm
